Explore Local Tavern History and Support the Society's Meeme House Project!

From Civil War mustering to civic debate and engagement, our taverns were integral in shaping our county's history.
History Happy Hour will be held on the dates below, from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm, exploring the history of a different tavern at each event.

Visitors to History Happy Hour can take home a written history page and a commemorative photo coaster of the establishment (while supplies last). The evening concludes with a 50/50 raffle to benefit the restoration of the Meeme House project.

*There is not a formal presentation given and you may arrive at any time, while supplies last.
History Happy Hour is a 21+ event with all proceeds going toward the Manitowoc County Historical Society’s Meeme House restoration project.  There is no formal admission charge but donations are appreciated for the Meeme House restoration project.
