Summer Camps

Spanning 60 wooded acres in central Manitowoc County, our campus welcomes you to experience the stories of our past this summer. The Manitowoc County Historical Society offers various outdoor, historically themed exhibits and indoor experiential learning spaces that combine history and art with science, technology, engineering and math to offer an authentic look into history that shapes society today.

Registration Information:

  • Registration Opens: Member registration opens March 1 at 10am. Registration opens to the general public on March 15 at 10am.

  • Advanced registration is required for each participant.

  • Camp Scholarships may be available for those needing financial assistance. You may request a camp scholarship in writing by May 1. Scholarship notifications will be made by June 1.

  • You will receive a pre-camp email when you register.

  • We will be offering early drop-off and late pickup for an additional charge.

  • MCHS Members receive a 15% discount on the camp registration fees. Are you a member? Don't forget to create an online account prior to camp registration to receive the discount!

  • A confirmation email of enrollment and receipt of payment will be sent via email immediately after you complete your online registration. Another email will go out to families two weeks prior to your camper’s time at the gardens with additional information about drop-off and what to expect at camp.

  • If the camp you desire is full, you can put your child on the wait list. Should space become available in camp, you will be contacted.

  • When canceling a camp 30 days or more in advance, a refund of 50% will be issued. No refund will be given for camps canceled with less than 30 days notice.

  • Snacks are not provided, though there may be opportunities to taste and create food from the historic kitchens and gardens. Campers will be allowed to bring a small snack of their choosing, but please note that we do not have the capacity to refrigerate snack items. Please mark any food or other allergies on the registration form so that all campers can be provided the best experience.
