Each season offers a unique experience at our Manitowoc County Historical Society Museum and Pinecrest Village! During our summer season, visitors will find the majority of our historic buildings open and some staffed in our Historic Village. During the spring and fall seasons, visitors will find fewer buildings open and staffed, but beautiful seasonal changes around the grounds! 

Winter Site Strolls: During the winter season, our historic structures of Pinecrest Village are closed but we do offer site strolls for a reduced rate of $5 per person. Walk our grounds and experience the beauty of history!

Printed courtesy passes and Library Adventure Passes can be used on any general admission days.

ADMISSION POLICIES

  • Guests under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

  • Pets are not allowed on the Manitowoc County Historical Society property, with the exception of service dogs.

  • Firearms are prohibited to be carried on property by guests.

  • Due to safety considerations, smoking of any kind is not allowed on the property.

We do not allow the following:

  • Professional photography equipment, including tripods, monopods or selfie sticks (without museum approval)

  • Photography or video recordings of children or families who are not part of your personal group

  • Bicycles, scooters, skateboards, hoverboards, roller skates, roller blades or shoes with wheels in them

Admission Discounts

Discount valid on-site only. Discount is for day-time Museum General Admission only and does not apply to Winter Weekends, after-hours, reservation-only, workshops or classes, or ticketed gallery programs. Only one discount may be used per person. These discounts cannot be used in conjunction with school field trip groups.

  • Blue Star Museum 

    The Manitowoc County Historical Society Museum and Pinecrest Village is a Blue Star Museum, offering free daily admission (including day-time special events) to the nation’s active-duty military personnel and up to 5 family members, including National Guard and Reserves. Please bring ID.

  • Museums For All 

    MCHS is a member of the Museums For All initiative, offering $5.00 per person daily admission to EBT cardholders and up to three guests. Please bring EBT card and valid photo ID. Learn more about the Museums for All Initiative.

  • AAA Discount

    We are an attraction for AAA members! MCHS offers a $1 off discount on general and special event admission rates for AAA cardholders (discount applies to the cardholder only).  Present your card!

  • Teacher Discount

    We are thrilled to be able to offer FREE admission to any teacher looking to make a site visit in preparation for, or to assist in the planning of, a field trip or program. Please let us know you’ll be coming by emailing Education@ManitowocCountyHistory.org with your grade taught and your school/group name. Be prepared to present a school ID or badge at the Admissions Desk at our Welcome Center. Discount applies to educator only. We also encourage educators to be signed up for our Educator E-News - Beyond the Chalkboard.
