Gallons of paint: $75 each
To keep our historic spaces looking nice - bonus points if you would like to volunteer your time to help paint! We always have a list of painting projects.
Food Pathways Kitchen supplies: $1,500 annually
To bring historic recipes and kitchen methods to life we need the correct supplies and ingredients to help tell the story. We need both period items and reproductions to fill our historic kitchen shelves and pantry.
Firewood: $90 to make each cord “stove ready”
Our Historic Village has a lot of wood boxes to stock! Cooking in kitchens, staying warm, and for outdoor fires.
Historic Clothing: $425 annually
For our costumed building interpreters so they can accurately represent the stories of our past. Each year we have a goal to expand and enhance the offerings of clothing that we can share with our volunteers.
Bead board replacement panels: $750 NEW!
A project goal for the coming year is to make repairs to the Meat Market walls.
Archival boxes: $650 annually (or about $70 for a box of boxes)
For our archives team to organize historic scrapbooks and books for preservation in our archives.
Collection Software: $1,500 annually
For our Curatorial team so they can enter data and record our historic items in our collection - but also for the public so they can access items from our collection online.
Camp Scholarship: $300
For a youngster to have access to a week of fun and learning (with transportation and lunch)!
Annual Maintenance for 1 chimney/stove: $350
Wood stoves are an important part of our interpretation at our site but they need annual cleaning and care.
Lamp Oil (check out our Amazon Wish List)
With a variety of winter, evening, and night programs, lamp oil is an important piece of our programming and interpretation.
iRobot Roomba 105 Vac Robot Vacuum and bags (check out our Amazon Wish List)
Help save volunteer time with a Roomba vacuum. This vacuum will assist in cleaning spaces after-hours, like our Niles Church and Meeme House.
VIISAN Large Format Book & Document Scanner (check out our Amazon Wish List)
Strengthen our archives digitization efforts with a large document scanner.
Modern Rolling TV Stand (check out our Amazon Wish List)
A SMART tv in the Meeme House hall can be used for presentations and education uses. A rolling tv stand would be a great benefit to its use and storage. A new SMART tv would be a great benefit in our Welcome Center as well.
