Cast Iron Cook-off
Saturday, October 17 from 10 am to 2 pm
This program is supported in part by WOMT 100.
Historic cooks compete using surprise ingredients!
Cooking over an open fire, hearth, or wood stove is a challenge … even more so when you have to improvise with surprise ingredients!
Cooks in our historic buildings will learn their ingredients in the morning, then prep a dish or a meal for our team of judges. Surprise ingredients will be delivered to their sites throughout the day as well; otherwise they may only use what they already have on hand.
Judges will visit sites in the afternoon to evaluate taste, presentation, and historical value.
Pssst, members ... be here at 10 a.m. and get an exclusive taste of the secret ingredients for our Cast Iron Cook-off!
