Call of Duty 1862: Civil War Camp

Tuesday, August 4 and Wednesday, August 5 from 9 am to 3 pm each day
Age 6 to 12


Go beyond the pages of history books to bring local Civil War era stories to life during this 2 day camp. The camp will consist of activities that relate to the American Civil War, both in battle and on the home front.


Registration Information:

  • Advanced registration is required for each participant.

  • Camp Scholarships may be available for those needing financial assistance. You may request a camp scholarship in writing.

  • MCHS Members receive a 15% discount on the camp registration fees. Are you a member? Don't forget to create an online account prior to camp registration to receive the discount!

  • A confirmation email of enrollment and receipt of payment will be sent via email immediately after you complete your online registration.

  • If the camp you desire is full, you can put your child on the wait list. Should space become available in camp, you will be contacted.

  • When canceling a camp 30 days or more in advance, a refund of 50% will be issued. No refund will be given for camps canceled with less than 30 days notice.

  • Snacks are not provided, though there may be opportunities to taste and create food from the historic kitchens and gardens. Campers will be allowed to bring a small snack of their choosing, but please note that we do not have the capacity to refrigerate snack items. Please mark any food or other allergies on the registration form so that all campers can be provided the best experience.

  • Camp attendees get 10% off in the Museum Store!


Advanced Registration

Ages 6 to 12

Fee: $40 per student, MCHS members get 15% off.

Check in at the McAllister House Welcome Center by 8:45 a.m.
