Fenian St. Patrick’s Day Ball
Saturday, March 14 from 6:30 to 9:30 pm
Enjoy live Irish music with “Whiskey in Me Tea”, participate in traditional square and Ceilidh dances at the Meeme House hall. Doors open at 6:30 pm, dancing begins at 7 pm.
As we continue to research the rich history of our historic Meeme House, we know the Herr family and the community loved to celebrate and have a gathering. Pictured here is an advertisement from the Feb 26, 1869 edition of the Manitowoc Pilot, showcasing a "Fenian Ball".
As a newspaper article would describe, the Fenian Ball hoped to raise funds to purchase a 'green flag' for the organization.
