From Fibers to Fancy Clothes (Family Field Trip)

Explore how pioneers created their own clothes from fibers and fabrics. Practice skills such as weaving and fiber identification. Card wool in preparation for spinning into yarn. Discover how many layers women in the 1800s wore. Try on a hoop skirt!

Layers of Clothing program at 11:30am and Fashion Show program at 12:30pm in the Nennig Dance Pavilion.

The ideal age for this program is 4 to 17. Register by September 1. Program activities take place from 10 am to 2 pm, unless otherwise noted. The Two Creeks Town Hall is available for families to take a snack or lunch break, or enjoy a quiet space to play.

Family field trip program admission is $6 for students age 4 to 17. Children under 4 are admitted free. One adult educator per family is admitted free.  Additional adults may join in the program at a cost of $6 each. Payment is due upon arrival.
