Exploring Wisconsin History and STEAM (Family Field Trip)

  • Manitowoc County Historical Society 924 Pinecrest Road Manitowoc United States (map)

Connect students to history and science through this fun, interactive program. As they rotate through stations, students find out about Wisconsin history related to science, technology, engineering, art and math. At each station they will work on challenges during which they will explore a variety of science topics and concepts. Examples: Students learn about changes in communication in the 1800s after which they construct simple electrical circuits that allow them to send Morse code.

Note: In order to give students hands-on experiences, students rotate in small groups. Thus the maximum capacity of this program is about 100 students.

The ideal age for this program is 4 to 17. Program activities take place from 10 am to 2 pm, unless otherwise noted. We suggest allowing at least 2 hours to take part in the program. The Two Creeks Town Hall is available for families to take a snack or lunch break, or enjoy a quiet space to play.

Family field trip/homeschool program admission is $6 for students age 4 to 17. Children under 4 are admitted free. One adult educator per family is admitted free. Additional adults may join in the program at a cost of $12 each. Payment is due upon registration.

Please register to attend by September 7.
