Fire and Ice (Family Field Trip)

  • Manitowoc County Historical Society 924 Pinecrest Road Manitowoc, WI, 54220 (map)

We are firing up the forge in the blacksmith shop and creating candles at the Thompson Cabin. We’re bringing out the ice cream maker and sharing the day with friends at the fire department for a bucket brigade at 11 am and 1 pm. Learn the roles fire and ice play in the lives of residents in Pinecrest Village. You can also see a City of Manitowoc Fire Truck from the 1930s!

The ideal age for this program is 4 to 17. Register by June 16. Program activities take place from 10 am to 2 pm, unless otherwise noted. We recommend at least 2 hours to take part in the program.

The Two Creeks Town Hall is available for families to take a snack or lunch break, or enjoy a quiet space to play.

Family field trip program admission is $6 for students age 4 to 17. Children under 4 are admitted free. One adult educator per family is admitted free.  Additional adults may join in the program at a cost of $6 each. Payment is due upon arrival.
